Icons speak louder than words Icons are defined as a “representative picture, image, or symbol.” We often interact with icons in our everyday life without even realizing it. The most effective icons are simple graphic representations that speak to the audience without the necessity for words. Students were tasked to create a set of icons that represented a movie or TV show of their choosing, boiling down the main themes of an entire plot line to four simple icons. The buttons provide links to some helpful info for this project. One is for designer Kyle Tezak's website, the initial creator of this challenge, and the other to the "Noun Project", a crowd sourced platform that looks to create and share icons. Take a gander at the student artwork and and see if your can guess the where they drew inspiration from! (MS/HS appropriate unit)
